Interview All-gonso
I woke up just like any normal morning. I made a pot of coffee and ate a bowl of Corn Pops. I jumped into my car and noticed that all of my documents from yesterday were stolen!! I had done an entire interview with Alfonso Soriano of the Chicago Cubs and all of the notes were completely gone.
The interview took me awhile to set up because Alfonso Soriano is a hard player to get a hold of. I had a lot of quotes from him that I cannot remember off the top of my head and it would be highly unethical of me to put quotes in an article that are not accurate. I am going to try and get back in contact with the Cubs’ clubhouse and see how easy it would be for me to get a second chance with Alfonso.
I really hope that this doesn’t affect my job with Sports Illustrated. I have only been working with Sports Illustrated for about 2 years and I do not want this incident to negatively affect any potential promotions. In the future, I am going to keep all the materials from a given day with me at all times instead of storing them in my car. I am also going to invest in a car alarm!
I am still waiting to hear back from the police about this surveillance tape that luckily caught all of the action as it happened. The woman might be a rival writer from the Tribune!
